WEBSTER PARISH POLICE JURY

PUBLIC MEETING

August 5, 2014

 

The Regular Meeting of the Webster Parish Police Jury will be held as follows:

PUBLIC HEARING:  To hear comments concerning Webster Parish Ordinance # 1012 to dissolve Webster Parish Recreation District #1 and to donate all materials and other assets to the Town of Cullen.

  1. Additions to the agenda:

 

      2.   Audience Comments:

 

     3.    Adopt the minutes from the August 1, 2014 Road Committee Meeting, and the August 1, 2014 Regular Meeting,

 

    4.    Approve invoices for payment:  Friday August 8, 2014:  Randy Thomas, Daniel Thomas, and Charles Walker.

 

   5.    Report of the 2013 Audit of Financials of the Webster Parish Police Jury, The Webster Parish Police Jury Office of    Community Services, and the Webster Parish Communications District, E-911, Mrs. Amy Tynes, Allen Green and Williamson, C.P.A.

 

  6.    To consider and take action with respect to adopting a resolution giving preliminary approval to the issuance of not exceeding $2,200,000. Of Limited Tax Certificates of Indebtedness of the Parish of Webster State of Louisiana; providing certain terms of said certificates; making application to the State Bond Commission for approval of said Bonds; and providing for other matters in connection therewith.

 

7.     Ratify action taken:

                       1- Timber Bids:  Timberland Services, L.L.C. only bidder for sale of timer located adjacent to the closed Webster Parish Penal Farm, First Thinning Operation - $10.10 /ton.

                       2- Timber Bids:  Timberland Services, L.L.C. only bidder for lump sum bid of $44,600.00on all merchantable Timber in Area 1 and Area 2 located at the Webster Parish Landfill.

 

8.    Approve Recreational Funding:

        a- District #11       $1600.00 to repair Frazier Street in Sibley

 

9.    Approve Pine Country Education Board as presented.

       

10.   To enact Ordinance # 1012- Recreation District #1- donate to the Town of Cullen all property, improvements, equipment and materials.  Dissolve the district.

 

11.    To approve 2ndquarter Budget Amendments for the Webster Parish Police Jury.
